Portrait Project: AmeliaAmelia is three years old. She has a baby brother, who is just a few months old, his name is Ezra. Amelia is wild and energetic, but she is very shy around people she doesn't know. Amelia absolutely loves the movie frozen, she was even Elsa for Halloween. Amelia speaks English, but is also currently learning Japanese. She is a wonderful little girl, who is full of curiosity and creativity.
To interview her I turned on my voice memos and while I played with her I talked to her and asked her my questions. Please note the answers to the questions are paraphrased, she is a three year old and that often means she would change topics in the middle of sentences, and/or talk slightly unintelligibly.
Here is a collection of Photos for the before and after project. Scroll down for all.
For this picture I brightened the exposure, deepened the contrast. I brightened the highlights, darkened the shadows, and brightened the blacks and whites. Finally I increased the clarity and vibrance, and decreased the saturation. This all made the photo look much brighter and stand out more.
For this Photo I lowered the exposure, increased the contrast. As well as brightened the highlights, deepened the shadows. And darkened he whites, making the picture look much more dramatic.
Before

For this project I wanted to show an object left behind. This is a tiny glass figurine of a dog my parents gave me as a little kid. I was trying to show it’s loss, a loss of childhood.
1 in 1600 Project
For this project I wanted to show my daily life, as well as hobbies. I love to paint, weave, read, and listen to music. The other images are of things I see everyday, things that are important parts of my life. All of the subjects have influenced my life in some way, such as the house, where I have lived my entire life. I have grown there, and changed there, into the person I am today. The headphones have brought me music that has taken me through good and bad times. Every subject has affected me in some way, wether big or small.
